Game Notes: Indiana Travels to No. 4 Michigan on Saturday

Setting The Scene
•Closing out its 2018 road ledger, Indiana (5-5, 2-5 B1G East) travels to No. 4/4/4 Michigan (9-1, 7-0 B1G East) on Saturday, Nov. 17. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. EST at Michigan Stadium (107,601; Field Turf) on FS1.
•U-M, ranked No. 3 at the time, earned a 20-10 win the last time the teams met in Ann Arbor on Nov. 19, 2016.
•The Hoosiers have taken the Wolverines to overtime in two of last three meetings (both in Bloomington), a 48-41 double overtime defeat on Nov. 14, 2015, and a 27-20 loss on Oct. 21, 2017.
•Michigan is IU's second top 5 foe of 2018 and eighth since the start of 2015, the second-most nationally.
The Coaches
•Tom Allen was named Indiana's head coach on Dec. 1, 2016, and made his debut at the 2016 Foster Farms Bowl. The New Castle, Ind., native joined IU as associate head coach/defense on Jan. 15, 2016. Over his first two years, the Hoosiers were the most improved nationally in total defense and passing defense, the sixth-most improved in third down defense and the ninth-most improved in points per game allowed.
•Jim Harbaugh is 37-12 (.755) in his fourth season at Michigan. He owns a 95-39 (.709) overall record with stints at Stanford (2007-10) and San Diego (2004-06). Harbaugh coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14.

•Mike Hart is a nominee for the Broyles Award, presented to the nation's top assistant coach.
•Stevie Scott is second amongst true freshmen nationally in rushing yardage (894), 100-yard games (4) and carries (178), and shares third in rushing touchdowns (8).
•Scott shares first in TDs, shares second in 100-yards games, and is fourth in yardage and attempts by a true freshman in program history.
•Redshirt junior kicker Logan Justus is one of 20 Lou Groza Award semifinalists.
•Justus earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors after his game-winning 42-yard field goal with 2:32 remaining lifted Indiana to a 34-32 victory over Maryland.
•Manager Matt Stauder is a Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award nominee.
•IU has 16 10-plus play scoring drives (9 TDs, 7 FGs) this year, which shares ninth nationally.
