Justus Named a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After earning Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, Indiana redshirt junior kicker Logan Justus was named a Lou Groza National Star of the Week on Tuesday.
College football's top kicking award, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award presented by the Orange Bowl, recognizes three of the top kickers each week from FBS division teams as the "Stars of the Week."
In his first game after being named one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Award, Justus hit the game-winner, from 42 yards out with 2:32 remaining, to lift IU to a 34-32 win over Maryland. He finished the contest a perfect 6-of-6 (2 FGs, 4 PATs).
The left-footed walk-on out of McCordsville, Ind., has connected on 13-of-15 field goals (86.7 percent) and 27-of-28 extra points. He is third in the B1G in percentage (T-14th nationally) and is fifth in field goals made (T-27th).
In league games only, Justus is 11-of-12 (91.7) on field goals and 15-of-15 on extra points. He shares the top spot in field goals, is second in percentage, and is sixth among kickers and eighth overall in scoring (6.9 ppg).
Justus and the Hoosiers (5-5, 2-5 B1G East) travel to No. 4/4/4 Michigan (9-1, 7-0 B1G East) on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. EST at Michigan Stadium (107,601; Field Turf) on FS1.
