SCHEDULE UPDATE: Dec. 1 Gametime Changed to 1 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Big Ten has announced that the Saturday, December 1 Big Ten men's basketball opener between Northwestern and Indiana at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall will now tipoff at 1 p.m. and air on the Big Ten Network. It was originally scheduled to tipoff at 5 p.m. and air on BTN.

Penn State at Maryland men's basketball was originally scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Dec. 1 but it will now begin at 5 p.m.

The Northwestern football team is playing later that day in the Big Ten Championship in Indianapolis. The conference and its television partners work collaboratively to sequence games around special events for participating institutions, including the Big Ten Football Championship Game. In this case, BTN and the four involved institutions were supportive of a move to switch the men's basketball game times to assist in that process.
