Langford Claims Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Indiana freshman Romeo Langford was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday, the conference office announced. It is the first weekly award for the New Albany, Ind. native.
Langford averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in two games last week.
He Led Indiana with 22 points, five rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks in 96-73 win over No. 24 Marquette in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. And on Sunday, he posted first career double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to go along with five assists in one-point loss at Arkansas in the Hardwood Showcase.
The last IU player to earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week was Curtis Jones Jr. (Nov. 14, 2016).
