Post-Game Notes
• This was the first meeting between Indiana and UC Davis, the Hoosiers won 76-62 to close out the Hardwood Showcase.
• Indiana improved to 5-1 on the season.
• The Aggies jumped out to a 24-10 lead with 7:38 left in the first half. IU closed the gap to 38-36 at halftime.
• UC Davis led 48-40 with 15:50 to go and held a 54-50 advantage with 7:55 to go.
• IU tied the game with 7:20 left on a Romeo Langford layup and then took the lead for good at 56-54 on a Juwan Morgan tip-in with 5:43 remaining.
• IU's game winning run was 26-3 from the 7:55 mark until there were 51 seconds left in the contest.
• The Hoosiers held the Aggies to 1 of 7 shooting in that time frame and also forced six turnovers.
• Indiana shot better than 50 percent for the fifth time in six games.
• IU made a season-high 10 three-point field goals.
• Four Hoosiers tallied double figures, Juwan Morgan (31), Romeo Langford (20), Aljami Durham (12) and Justin Smith (11).
• Senior forward Juwan Morgan played all 40 minutes of the contest for the second time in his career en route to his 12th career double-double. He recorded 31 points and 10 rebounds. It was his second career 30-point plus effort. He tied his career-high with 13 field goals and knocked in a career-high 5 three-pointers.
• Freshman guard Romeo Langford continued to be a key part of the Indiana offense as he scored 20 points and five rebounds. The freshman played a career high 39 minutes.
• Sophomore forward Justin Smith had his fourth double-digit effort, notching 11 points and two rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Aljami Durham had a double-digit scoring effort with 11 points while playing a career-high 38 minutes.
• Freshman guard Rob Phinisee saw a career-high 36 minutes while assisting on eight baskets for the Hoosiers.
• The Hoosiers will hit the road as the play the Duke Blue Devils as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tip-off is slated for 9:30 p.m. on ESPN. It will be the third time in four years they have battled in this event.
