IU is coming off a 76-62 come-from behind win over UC Davis in the Hardwood Showcase, while Duke fell in the championship game of the Maui Invitational 89-87 to #3 Gonzaga.

Indiana Coach Archie Miller begins his second season of guiding the Cream and Crimson. Last year, the Hoosiers finished 16-15 and 9-9 in the Big Ten. He is 160-79 in seven-plus years as a head coach, which includes six years at the University of Dayton. His Flyer teams made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2014. Duke is led by the winningest coach in college basketball history Mike Krzyzewski, who has won 5 national titles and has a 1,032-280 record with the Blue Devils.

Senior forward Juwan Morgan and freshman guard Romeo Langford were selected to the 10-member Preseason All-Big Ten team. Both are among 50 players listed as candidates for the 2019 Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award and Langford is among 20 players on the NABC Player of the Year watch list. Langford was named third-team Preseason All-American by ESPN.com and CBSSports.com and earned fourth-team honors from WatchStadium.com.
Morgan is currently 7th in the Big Ten in scoring (17.5) and rebounding (9.0) and is 3rd in field goal percentage (71.7%) and 2nd in 3FG% (60.0%). Langford is 3rd in the Big Ten in scoring (18.5) and 5th in minutes played per game (32.5).
HOOSIERS ARE THIRD IN THE COUNTRY IN SHOOTING
Coach Archie Miller's squad is the top shooting team in the Big Ten, and third in the country, making 55.1% of its shots through the first two-plus weeks of the season. IU's 63.6% shooting effort against Marquette was the best ever performance for an Archie Miller coached team in his eight seasons as a head coach. His team's previous best came when Dayton beat George Mason and shot 62.9% in 2016.
CLOSING GAMES STRONG
Trailing 54-50 with 7:55 left, the Hoosiers closed out UC Davis with a 26-3 run which covered a 7:04 period. Against UT Arlington, IU led 61-60 with 6:01 to go and ended the game on a 17-4 run.

IU will open Big Ten play at home on Dec. 1 against Northwestern, will visit Penn State, Dec. 4, host Louisville Dec. 8, then play Butler in Indianapolis in the Crossroads Classic, Dec. 15.
