Deyshia Lofton Earns All-Big Ten Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana volleyball junior middle blocker Deyshia Lofton earned recognition by being selected to the All-Big Ten Second Team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Lofton recorded her best season to date with career-highs for a season in kills (281), hitting percentage (.336) and blocks (130).
The .336 hitting percentage for Lofton, is the fifth best single season hitting percentage in program history.
Lofton moved into fourth on the Hoosiers all-time career list for solo blocks with 67. Lofton also passed 300 career blocks and now has 305 for her career.
Lofton helped the Hoosiers go from 45 solo blocks and 188 total team blocks in the 2017 season, to 115 solo blocks and 309 total team blocks in the 2018 season. The Hoosiers went from 277th in the NCAA in total blocks in 2017 to currently 15th in the NCAA in total blocks.
Sophomore Kamryn Malloy earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship award.
