Indiana University Head Women’s Soccer Coach Amy Berbary’s Contract Not Renewed, Search for New Permanent Head Coach Underway

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass announced today that he did not renew Amy Berbary's contract as head coach of the Indiana University Women's Soccer program. Berbary served as head coach for six seasons beginning in 2013. A search for Coach Berbary's successor has begun.
"We thank Amy for her hard work and dedication to Indiana University," said Glass. "I have tremendous respect for Amy and wish her well in all of her future endeavors."
Assistant coaches Sandy Davison and Daniel Brizard will remain in their roles until a successor is named and determines whether to retain them. Sandy Davison will serve as interim head coach, effective immediately. Senior Associate Athletic Director Stephen Harper will otherwise oversee the program until a new head coach is hired. That search will begin immediately and be led by Harper with the counsel and support of advisors inside and outside the athletic department, including a student-athlete from the women's soccer team.
