BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball head coach Shonda Stanton has announced the addition of pitcher Kate Rehberg to this year's class of signees. Rehberg, a native of Omaha, Neb., will join the Hoosiers next fall.
"Kate is a power pitcher who will complement our returning staff well," said Stanton. "We are excited about her desire and drive to make an immediate impact within our program and the Big Ten."
Rehberg, a three-time All-State honoree, earned Co-Pitcher of the Year Honors in 2016 after leading Millard North High School to a third-place finish in state with a school record 23 wins in the circle. The 2017 campaign saw Rehberg collect 322 strikeouts, a school and state record for a single season.
The right-handed pitcher plays travelball for Iowa Premier Gold, where she guided the team to a third-place finish at 2016 PGF Nationals.
Rehberg joins eight other future Hoosiers who signed their National Letters of Intent to join the program last month. For more on the entire signing class, click here.
