BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Soccer saw a program-record 18 members of the team named Academic All-Big Ten, the conference office has announced.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of November 1 for fall sports, who have been enrolled fulltime at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Redshirt senior Annelie Leitner earned the honor for the fourth time, while redshirt senior Mykayla Brown and seniors Maya Piper, Justine Lynn, Caroline Dreher and Abby Allen earned the honor for the third straight season. Two-time honorees include juniors Chandra Davidson, Julia Gilliam, Allison Jorden and Meghan Scott. Earning the award in the first year they are eligible include sophomores Cam Bell, Melanie Forbes, Ana Garibaldi, Grace Geise, Nicolette Kapsalis, Bethany Kopel, Hanna Németh and Maddie West.
In addition, Jorden and Németh were two of just 40 selections across the conference to be recognized for posting a perfect 4.0 GPA. It marks the second straight season Jorden has earned that distinction.
