NOTES: Hoosiers and Huskers Meet Tuesday in Lincoln

OPENING TIP
• The 118th season of Indiana basketball continues on Tuesday when the Hoosiers travel to Nebraska. Indiana is coming off an 84-82 win at Iowa, while Nebraska fell at Illinois, 72-66. The Hoosiers have won in their last two trips to Pinnacle Bank Arena.
• During the Hoosiers four-game winning streak, IU is shooting 53.6% from the field and 47.3% from three-point range while holding opponents to 37.8% shooting from the floor and 30.7% from long distance. IU has clinched no worse than the No. 7 seed in next week's Big Ten Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
THE COACHES
• Archie Miller is the 29th head coach in Indiana men's basketball history. He won his 150th career game with the triumph over Northwestern on Jan. 14. The 39-year old native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, comes to IU after serving the previous six seasons as head coach at the University of Dayton, where he won Atlantic 10 Conference regular season championships in 2016 and 2017. He was Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year in 2017. He guided the Flyers to a 139-63 record (69.8) and a 68-34 mark (66.7) in the Atlantic 10. He took Dayton to the NCAA Tournament each of the last four years, with the Flyers advancing to the Elite Eight in the 2014 Tournament. UD was nationally ranked in 3 of Miller's 6 seasons (2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16).
• Tim Miles is in his 6th year as the head coach at Nebraska.
NEWS & NOTES
• Iowa hit their first 10 field goal attempts, but the Hoosiers still out-shot the Hawkeyes, 56.1% to 55.1%. IU came back from a 13-point deficit, the largest deficit that IU has come back from in a Big Ten road game since February 7, 2008, when IU trailed at Illinois by 12 before winning, 83-79, in double overtime. IU came back earlier this season from a 14-point deficit against Notre Dame in Indianapolis.
• Senior Robert Johnson is averaging 18.3 points and shooting 60.0% from the field and 57.7% from long distance during the Hoosiers winning streak. He scored a career-high 29 points at Iowa and tied an IU record by making 9 three-point field goals. He tied the mark set by Rod Wilmont against Northwestern in 2007 and Matt Roth in 2009 against Ohio State. He is now in 23rd place on the IU all-time scoring list with 1,368 points and fourth on the school's all-time list with 232 treys.
• Junior Juwan Morgan continues to put together an All-Big Ten-type year. In the last 5 games, he has averaged 18.4 points and 8.0 rebounds and shot 57.4% from the floor. He had his 8th double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Illinois. He also tied his career-high with 4 steals and established a career-best with 5 blocked shots against the Illini. He has scored 20 points or more in 10 games this season, including 8 in the Big Ten. He leads the Hoosiers in scoring (16.6) and is among the league leaders in rebounds (7.3) and field goal percentage (58.9%). He is the most improved scorer in the Big Ten, averaging 8.9 points per game more overall and 10.9 points better in conference play when compared to last season. He is averaging 18.2 points in the Big Ten play.
• Junior walk-on Zach McRoberts entered the starting lineup 14 games ago and is averaging 1.8 steals per game in conference play to lead all Big Ten players. He is 6th at 1.4 thefts per game for the entire season.
• Sophomore Devonte Green has started the last 4 games and had 18 points and 6 assists against Iowa. In his four starts, and averaged 12.3 points while making 10-of-14 three-point field goals (71.4%). He also has 19 assists to just 10 turnovers. Senior Freddie McSwain Jr. has started the last 5 contests. He scored the game winning basket with 49 seconds left at Iowa. He is averaging 6.6 points and 8.0 rebounds since entering the starting lineup.
• Freshman Justin Smith had a tremendous week off the bench. He made 10-of-14 field goal attempts hitting 5-of-7 from the floor in both games. He had 15 points at Iowa and had 13 points and 3 rebounds against Illinois.
