Hoosiers Host Western Illinois on Tuesday and Wednesday

• Tuesday will be the sixth ever meeting between IU and WIU and the first meeting since April 29, 2009, a 17-2 Hoosiers victory in Bloomington.
• IU leads the all-time series between the two schools, 4-1.
• Indiana Head Coach Chris Lemonis is in his fourth season leading the Hoosier baseball program and his 24th overall year in coaching. He has posted a 112-76-2 record and has led the program to two regional at-large bids in his first three seasons.
• Western Illinois head coach Ryan Brownlee was named the sixth head coach of the Fighting Leathernecks in the Fall 2012. He joined Western after spending nine seasons at Iowa as an assistant and as the Hawkeyes' recruiting coordinator.
• The Hoosiers entered the week ranked in all six polls. IU is ranked 14th by D1Baseball.com, 15th by Collegiate Baseball, 17th by the NCBWA, and 18th by Baseball America, Perfect Game and the USA Today Coaches Poll.
• Indiana is coming off a weekend where it took two of three games from the Pacific Tigers at Bart Kaufman Field.
• The Hoosiers are second in the Big Ten in doubles (34, 28th nationally), and homes runs (14, 44th nationally), and third in stolen bases (19).
• The IU pitching staff is first in the Big Ten in shutouts (2, 24th nationally) and ERA (3.05, 39th nationally), second in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.59) and walks allowed per nine innings (3.11), and third in WHIP (1.38).
• On Friday, Jonathan Stiever, went eight strong innings, striking out a career-high 12 hitters, the most for an IU pitcher since Joey DeNato punched out 12 against Michigan on April 27, 2012.
In Saturday's win, Pauly Milto went seven innings, allowing just three hits and a run while striking out nine batters, which matched his career-high against N.C. State in the Regional last season.
