Hoosiers Open Big Ten Play at No. 6 Illinois

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After going 12-3 in non-conference play to open the season, the Indiana women's tennis team will open Big Ten play at No. 6 Illinois on Saturday March 10 at 11:30 a.m. EST.
The Hoosiers are coming off wins against Miami University and Western Kentucky last weekend and the 12-3 start is their best start since the 2007-08 season.
Indiana will play its first three Big Ten matches on the road, before their Big Ten home opener on March 25 vs. Minnesota.
The Hoosiers continue to pile up wins in non-conference play with an overall singles record of 60-20 (.750) led by Caitlin Bernard, who has posted a 13-2 record.
In doubles the Hoosiers are 30-9 (.769) as Bernard has teamed up with freshman Jelly Bozovic to go 10-1 in dual match play.
Illinois comes into the match with an 10-2 record with their only defeats coming against No. 5 North Carolina (4-0) and No. 14 Northwestern (4-3). In addition to the match against Northwestern, Illinois has played Iowa and won the match by a score of 6-1. The Fighting Illini also have wins this season over No. 11 Texas (4-2), No. 22 Washington (4-3) and No. 10 Wake Forest (4-3).
