Indiana Improves On Day Two Of Big Ten Championships

Maineville, Ohio - A pair of 2-under rounds from freshman Priscilla Schmid and junior Erin Harper helped Indiana improve 12 strokes on day two of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday.
Schmid and Harper move into the top 20 with a pair of 70s, sitting 19th and T20th, respectively after another 18 holes at TPC River's Bend. Schmid (145) chipped in a high of five birdies for IU on the afternoon as Harper (146) added two while going under or par on 17 of 18 holes.
It helped Indiana move up on the leaderboard, collecting a 1-over total team score for the day of 289. Their performance was a 12-stroke improvement from day one to move into a tie for eighth place overall. IU is sitting two strokes out of seventh place and five strokes out of sixth place heading into tomorrow's final round.
Freshman Mary Parsons birdied in four holes working her way to a 73 to sit T33rd (148). Senior Alix Kong birdied three holes on her way to a 76 and is T45th. Sophomore Elisa Pierre (77) is T60th (155) while sophomore Carolina Garrett rounds out Indiana's leaderboard in T81st (168).
The third and final round of the Big Ten Championships will get underway with tee times at 8 a.m. ET on Sunday morning.
