Manji Earns All-Big Ten Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday their selections for the 2018 Men's Tennis postseason honors, including their All-Big Ten teams. Indiana senior Raheel Manji received placement on the All-Big Ten Second Team and was named a Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree.
The Pickering, Ontario native becomes the first Hoosier on an All-Big Ten team since Sam Monette earned a spot in 2016.
Manji has played all singles matches this year at the top spot for Indiana, winning eight matches, including two against ranked opponents.
Currently, Manji himself is ranked in the ITA Singles Rankings, a spot he has held for seven weeks this year.
In doubles, the senior has been stellar. Overall, he has a 14-6 record with an 8-3 mark in the Big Ten. At the top spot, he is 2-2, at No. 2 5-2 and at the third spot, 7-2.
Manji and IU closed the regular season winning its last six of eight matches and earning the No. 43 ranking in the ITA team rankings.
The No. 5 seed Hoosiers continue Big Ten Tournament action on Friday morning when they face No. 4 seed Minnesota. First serve is set for 11:00 a.m. ET in Iowa City, Iowa.
