STILLWATER, Okla. - Indiana Women's Golf junior Erin Harper opened up NCAA Championship play at Karsten Creek Golf Course on Friday.
She shot an 86 (+14) in the opening 18 holes, putting her T127th overall. After starting out with three-straight bogeys, she got back on track with three consecutive pars on No. 13, 14 and 15. The Dublin, Ohio native would par five holes on the day but two triple bogeys on No. 17 and No. 6 would hinder the round one score.
"Erin didn't have her 'A' game today but I'm confident she will rebound and have a great day tomorrow," IU head coach Clint Wallman said. "This course sets up really well for her and with a good start she can post a good number on Saturday."
Harper is back in action tomorrow for another round of 18 holes with a tee time set for 2:10 p.m. ET.
