IUWS Sets New Program Record with 11 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference office announced the 2017-18 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars today as Indiana Women's Soccer saw a program-record 11 make the list.
The Distinguished Scholar award is given to those who recorded at least a 3.7 GPA during the 2017-18 academic year. The student must be in the second year at the institution.
Abby Allen, Cassidy Blacha, Mykayla Brown, Caroline Dreher, Bristal Hadley-Mautino, Allison Jorden, Kylie Kirk, Annelie Leitner, Justine Lynn, Maya Piper and Kayla Smith earned the accolade. IU's 11 selections were the most selections of any women's soccer program in the Big Ten.
In addition, Allen, Jorden, Kirk and Lynn earned special recognition for posting a perfect 4.0 GPA during the school year.
