BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer's Griffin Dorsey, Trey Muse and Justin Rennicks were all invited to the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team camp July 15-22 in Raleigh, N.C., head coach Tab Ramos announced.
IU is the only university in the nation to have three players selected for the 20-player camp, which is the program's fourth activity this cycle that began with the first-ever U.S. Soccer Men's YNT Summit in January.
Rennicks has participated in all four activities for the U-20 squad this year – the 12-day camp in May with matches against Honduras, the training camp in Spain in March and the U.S. Soccer Men's YNT Summit Camp this past January in Florida.
Both Dorsey and Muse have also had experience with the U-20 teams, as they also participated in the U.S. Soccer Men's YNT Summit Camp in January. The duo also has experience with the USMNT U-18 squad.
Muse had one of the best single-season goalkeeping years in NCAA history in 2017, leading the country in shutouts (18), goals-against average (.260), save percentage (0.903) and goalie minutes played (2416:18). The Louisville, Ky. native was named a First-Team Freshman All-American by Top Drawer Soccer, Second-Team All-Big Ten and to the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
Dorsey had a memorable first year for Indiana as well, earning Second-Team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors. The Evergreen, Colo. native scored three goals and tallied six assists on the season, starting all 23 matches in which he appeared for the Hoosiers.
Limited due to injury for most of his freshman season in 2017, Rennicks appeared in nine matches at the end of the year, tallying an assist in the team's 4-0 victory over Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
