Troy Williams Signs With New Orleans Pelicans

Former Indiana University forward Troy Williams has signed a contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. This will be the fourth team that Williams has played for after he suited up last year for the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. He began his career with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Williams was a key component of the Hoosiers 2016 Big Ten Championship squad that advanced to the Sweet 16 and finished the year ranked 9th in the country. Williams averaged 13.3 points and 5.8 rebounds and led the team with 39 steals that season. He also scored 1,115 points during his three seasons with the Hoosiers.

Last year, he saw action in 21 games and averaged 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds. He has played in 51 career games in the NBA and averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds.
