Indiana’s Palazzolo Earns Weekly Big Ten Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 6-ranked Indiana University men's soccer MF A.J. Palazzolo was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the conference office announced.
Palazzolo made the most of his first collegiate goal, scoring the game-winner for the Hoosiers on the road against then-ranked No. 3 North Carolina in the 88th minute on Sunday night in Cary, N.C.
Off a free kick, MF Trevor Swartz sent a great ball to the far-right post, finding the head of Palazzolo, who finished from four-yards out. Palazzolo, a St. Louis, Mo. Native, redshirted last season after appearing in 10 matches in 2016, totaling two assists.
The No. 6-ranked Hoosiers host the 2018 adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington starting this weekend. IU will face No. 22 Dartmouth on Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET. at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. No. 18 UConn and No. 24 Notre Dame will play at 5:00 p.m. ET.
