Sunday's final round of the Mary Fossum Invitational saw the Indiana women's golf team register a team score of 302 and fall one spot to finish eighth in the 16-team field. Senior Erin Harper finished the tournament with a score of 216 (Even) and a tie for sixth place, marking her 18th career Top 25 finish.

• After earning a bid to Phase II of LPGA Q-School earlier this month, senior Erin Harper has carried that strong play over into the start of this season. She followed up a T22 finish last week in South Carolina with a T6 finish this week in East Lansing with a score of 216 (70-74-72; Even). It marks her 18th career Top 25 finish and the sixth Top 10 finish in 30 career events.
• In her final round, Harper recorded two birdies and two bogeys. She finished the week with nine birdies, which tied for the ninth-most birdies in the field.
• Sophomore Angela Aung earned the best individual finish of her career, as she tied for 24th at 6-over par for the tournament (71-75-76; 222).
• Sophomore Mary Parsons match Aung's final round 76 on her way to a total score of 228 and a tie for 49th in her season debut. Parsons was 6-over par through her first 11 holes of the final round, but birdied three of the next four to get back to 3-over before a bogey on her 17th hole bumped her back put o 4-over on the day.
• Freshman Alexis Miestowski closed the weekend with a 78 in her final round, leaving her with a score of 229 (73-78-78; +13) to tie for 52nd.
• Graduate transfer Kari Bellville posted a final round 79 to tie for 57th at 15-over par (75-77-79; 231).
UP NEXT
• The Hoosiers will send four individuals to the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State University. The tournament runs Sept. 17-18 at The Players Club in Yorktown, Indiana.
• The next team event will be the Illinois Women's Invite at Medinah Country Club on Oct. 8-9.
