Receveur Named Cross Country Big Ten Athlete of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, IN – Three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and defending Big Ten Champion Katherine Receveur was named the Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Louisville, Ky. native collects her fourth career Athlete of the Week award after making her season debut at the Meet of Champions hosted by Iona on Friday. Receveur took the 5k individual title at Van Courtlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. with the time of 17:30.8, ten seconds ahead of the next finisher. Her efforts led Indiana to earn the second team title of the season with a total of 30 points.
Receveur and the Hoosiers will travel to Madison, Wisc. on Friday, September 28 to compete in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The women's B 6k race is scheduled to start at 11:00 am with the men's B 8k race set to take off at 11:40 am. The women's championship 6k race will start at 12:20 pm and the men's championship 8k race is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
