Indiana head coach Tom Allen on the season opener:
"It was great to get the first win. It was a great win. I'm proud of our offense. Our hands team did a great job getting the ball back when [FIU] kicked that onside kick in the fourth quarter. Then with 6:04 left in the game [FIU] never got the ball back. You usually like to run a four-minute offense. That was a six-minute offense. I'm proud of a lot of things, especially our guys finishing and finding a way to win."

Indiana quarterback Peyton Ramsey on his play:
"I think it went well. For both of us [quarterbacks] there were a little jitters going into it. I think we shook them off quick and bounced back after that pick. I re-grouped on the sideline and calmed myself down and started making plays. I calmed down and started finding easy throws. I took what the defense was giving me."
