IU’s Dorsey Named to USMNT U-20 Team for Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer sophomore Griffin Dorsey was named to the U.S. Men's National Team roster for the 2018 U-20 Men's Invitational tournament at IMG Academy in Brandenton, Fla. from Sept. 7-11.
The U.S. U-20 Men's National Team will face Venezuela and Jamaica, as well as square off against the U.S. U-19 team in the round-robin style competition. Each of the match days – Sept. 7, 9 and 11 – will feature a doubleheader (11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET) with the U-20 MNT playing the second game each day.
The U.S. U-20s are in the middle of the 2019 World Cup cycle with the Concacaf U-20 Men's Championship on the horizon. The tournament, which will qualify four teams for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, will take place at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. from Nov. 1-21.
Dorsey is no stranger to the USMNT U-20 team. He has participated in the U-20 camp this past July and also in the U.S. Soccer Men's YNT Summit Camp in January.
Dorsey has started all four matches this season for the Hoosiers, scoring two goals.
