Big Ten Announces Majority of Tip Times and TV Designations for 2018-19 Men's Basketball Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – The Big Ten Conference today announced tip off times and television designations for the men's basketball games which fall under league control in 2018-19 and this year's Indiana slate provides the Hoosiers with tremendous national exposure.
All totaled, IU will appear on BTN 10 times, on FS1 and ESPN/ESPN2 six times each, and three other key games each being shown on Fox and CBS. The Gavitt Games contest with Marquette and a road game at Arkansas have yet to have start times or television designations assigned. In addition, Hoosier Hysteria, the Hoosiers exhibition game with Southern Indiana on November 1 and Hardwood Classic home game on November 23 with UC Davis can be seen on BTN Plus, the network's live streaming service.

The Big Ten Network will air the Hoosiers first two conference games in December showing IU's matchup at home with Northwestern on December 1 at 5 p.m., and their road tilt at Penn State on December 4 at 7 p.m. The network also will show the rematch with Northwestern in Evanston on January 22 and the senior day matchup with Rutgers on March 10 at noon. BTN also will be the home of IU's road trip to Rutgers on January 30. BTN also will air five of the Hoosiers non-conference games in November and December, including the season opener against Chicago State on November 6.
The Hoosiers do not play any night games on Saturday or Sunday during the conference portion of the schedule. IU's game at Michigan State on February 2 could start at 2,4 or 6 p.m.
The Fox Network will show the Hoosiers game at home against Louisville on December 8, the road game at Purdue on January 19 and the home game against Michigan State on March 2.
The Hoosiers will play three games on Friday's and one on Monday during the conference schedule with those airing on FS1. Friday offerings include a game at Maryland on January 11 and at Iowa on February 22 and a home game against Michigan on January 25. IU's lone Monday matchup will be at home against Nebraska on January 14. In addition, FS1 will air both meetings with Illinois. The Hoosiers take on the Illini at home on January 3 and in Champaign March 7. The Gavitt Games matchup will likely be seen on one of the Fox Sports channels.
CBS will air the Crossroads Classic matchup with Butler on December 15 and will show the Hoosiers on the road at Michigan on January 6 and at home against Ohio State on February 10.
IU will play Duke on ESPN at 9:30 on November 27 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, but may not appear on ESPN or ESPN2 until visiting East Lansing on February 2. ESPN or ESPN2 will air four other games in February including home games against Iowa on February 7, Purdue on February 19 and Wisconsin a week later on February 26 They also will show the Hoosiers road game at Minnesota on February 16. The game at Arkansas on November 18 likely will likely air on an ESPN platform.
