Four Hoosiers Represented on NFL Championship Weekend Rosters

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A total of four former Indiana football players are on NFL teams that will participate in the Championship Round of the playoffs next weekend.
Simmie Cobbs Jr. (Saints), Robert McCray III (Chiefs), Rodger Saffold (Rams) and Shane Wynn (Saints) are all members of teams that are still alive in the playoffs. The Saints and Rams (Cobbs, Saffold and Wynn) will play at 3:05 p.m. next Sunday, with the Chiefs and Patriots (McCray) following at 6:40 p.m.
A total of eight Hoosiers were part of NFL playoff teams this season, including Cobbs, Chris Covington (Cowboys), Dan Feeney (Chargers), Jordan Howard (Bears), McCray, Saffold, Nate Sudfeld (Eagles) and Wynn.
With at least one IU alum being on each NFC roster remaining in the playoffs, this guarantees for the fourth-straight year a Cream & Crimson alum will be part of a team playing for a Super Bowl championship.
Last season, Sudfeld won a Super Bowl title with the Eagles, while Cody Latimer won a championship with the Broncos in 2016. Tevin Coleman competed in Super Bowl LI in 2017.
