Men’s and Women’s Ranked No. 1 in first USTFCCCA Regional Poll of the Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— The United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association have released their first Regional Track & Field Ratings Index of the indoor season. Indiana Track & Field saw both the men's and women's teams ranked first in the Great Lakes Region.
The Hoosiers are one of three teams that saw both programs ranked first. The other two schools are Kentucky who are in the Southeast region and Texas Tech who tops the Mountain Region.
Among the Big Ten, Indiana was the lone school to have the men's and women's squads ranked first in their respective region. On the women's side, the league holds six of the top 10 spots. Ohio State (2), Wisconsin (5), Michigan (6), Michigan State (7), and Purdue (9) all hold top 10 spots. The Hoosiers, Ohio State, Michigan, and Purdue round out the top four spots on the men's side.
Up next, the Hoosiers are set to host Indiana Relays beginning Friday, Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. The two day meet will resume at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
