IUTF Continues Homestand as They Host Indiana Relays

BLOOMINGTON, IND.— Indiana Track & Field is set to host their third home meet of the month as they will welcome 12 teams to Gladstein Fieldhouse for Indiana Relays. The two-day meet is set to begin on Friday Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. and wrap up on Jan. 26. Saturday's events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
The field of competition consists of Butler, Florida International, Miami (OH), North Central College, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, South East Missouri, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, Wisconsin, Vincennes, and Western Kentucky.
Indiana Relays Schedule of Events
Friday's portion of the meet will consist of 14 events—eights track events and seven field events.
Order of track events— 60m (heptathlon), 60m hurdles prelims, 60m prelims, mile (unseeded), DMR, 5000m, 600m, and 200m.
Order of field events—Long jump (heptathlon), high jump, shot put (heptathlon), long jump, pole vault, weight throw, long jump, high jump (heptathlon), and weight throw.
Saturday's portion of the meet will feature 19 events. 11 track events and eight field events.
Order of track events—60m hurdles (pentathlon), 60m hurdles (heptathlon), 60m hurdles finals, 60m finals, 400m, 1000m (heptathlon), mile, 800m, 3000m, 4x400 relay, and 800m (pentathlon).
Order of field events—High jump (pentathlon), pole vault (heptathlon), triple jump, shot put, pole vault, shot put (pentathlon), high jump, and long jump (pentathlon).

Last Time Out
Indiana hosted the annual Gladstein Invite last weekend that saw a field of 13 teams competing. The Hoosiers swept the 600m as Kelsey Harris and Cooper Williams both set personal records in the event. Harris clocked a time of 1:30.44 while Williams crossed in a time of 1:17.63.
Keeping Up with the Hoosiers
Cooper Williams still holds the nation's fastest 800m with a time of 1:49.09 while both 4x800 relays saw the fastest time in the NCAA so far this season. On the men's side, the relay team consisting of Joe Murphy, Ben Veatch, Daniel Michalski, and Kyle Mau ran a time of 7:33.42. Hannah Stoffel, Bailey Hertenstein, Jenna Barker, and Haley Harris crossed the finish line in a time 8:54.20.
Brathwaite and Zubin Muncherji have seen success in their college careers, but also have had success in their home countries. Brathwaite is a native of the British Virgin Islands and now holds the country's record in the 60-meter with a time of 6.68. Muncherji calls Singapore home and holds four records in various events including the 200m (22.60), 400m (47.82), 500m (1;04.38), and 600m (1:21.99).
In the Rankings
The men's squad continued to be ranked in the second week of USTFCCCA's Indoor Ratings Index. as they are ranked No. 14.
The Regional Rating Index was also released as the Hoosiers saw both teams ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region. Indiana is one of three teams that saw both of their programs ranked first. Kentucky in the Southeast region and Texas Tech in the Mountain Region also saw their teams take the top spots.
