• With the victory, the Hoosiers extend their winning streak to seven games, the longest for the team since it won 12-straight during the 2015-16 season.
• Indiana improved to 3-0 in the Big Ten for the first time since the 2015-16 season. The Hoosiers started that season 7-0 in league play.
• The victory was the seventh-straight for IU in Bloomington since 2011.
• The Hoosiers went 23-of-48 (47.9 percent) from the floor against the Illini. IU came into the game shooting 52.9% from the field, which ranked 2nd in the country and first in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers are shooting 52.6% after 14 games.
• IU forced 21 Illinois turnovers, scoring 22 points of those miscues. It is the 4th time this season that an opponent committed 20 or more miscues in a game. It is the first time that IU has forced 20 turnovers or more in a league game since the Hoosiers forced 20 at Iowa last February.
• The Hoosiers forced six Illinois shot clock violations. That is a school record.
• Over the final 6:53 minutes of the first half, the Hoosiers out-scored Illinois, 17-7, to end the half tied at 32-32.
• Indiana held Illinois scoreless for the first 4:39 minutes of the second half, out-scoring the Illini, 8-0, during that stretch.
• IU is 20-2 in two seasons under Archie Miller when holding opponents under 70 points, including 11-0 this year.
• In the team's last eight wins, the Hoosiers have overcome a deficit. IU trailed against UC Davis (14), Northwestern (5), Penn State (9), Louisville (8), Butler (11), Central Arkansas (5), Jacksonville (5) and Illinois (10).
• Freshman Romeo Langford led the Hoosiers with a career-high 28 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor. Langford also went 11-of-15 from the free throw line and added six rebounds and three assists. His free throws made and attempted were a season-high. Langford is averaging 21.7 points in 3 Big Ten games.
• Senior Juwan Morgan recorded the 15th double-double (sixth this season) of his career, totaling 15 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. It is his second straight double-double after he posted a triple-double (10 points, 10 boards, 10 assists) against Jacksonville.
• Sophomore Aljami Durham had nine points, one rebound and two steals in the victory.
• Both junior Devonte Green and sophomore Justin Smith had eight points for IU. Smith added six rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal, while Green also tallied three rebounds, three assists and one block.
• Junior De'Ron Davis added five points off the bench and also had one rebound, one assist and one steal.
• Redshirt senior Josh McRoberts totaled four steals, two rebounds and an assist off the bench for the Hoosiers.
• Indiana will be back in action on Sunday, Jan. 6 when the team heads to Ann Arbor to face No. 2/4-ranked Michigan at 4:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised nationally on CBS.
