Four Hoosiers Earn B1G Weekly Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind— The Big Ten Conference announced their weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon per a press release. Indiana Track & Field swept the field of awards as Natalie Price and Cooper Williams nabbed track athlete of the week honors while Eric Bethea and Anna Watson snagged field honors.
Natalie Price competed in two events during last weekend's meet against Tennessee. She clocked the third fastest time in the nation in the 400m with a time of 54.69 while grabbing first place in the event. The sophomore also aided 4x400 relay team to a second-place finish.
Cooper Williams earns weekly honors after his national leading effort in the mile. The senior's new personal record is now the NCAA fastest time so far this season with a time of 4:04.55. Williams also saw first with the 4x400 relay team.
Eric Bethea went out to defend his national leading distance in the triple jump at the Tennessee Dual. He did just that when he notched a distance of 15.86m (52'.") to take top honors at the meet.
Anna Watson set a new meet record and PR in pole vault on her way to earning Field Athlete of the Week honors. Watson recorded a height of 4.08m (13'4.5").
Next, Indiana will travel to Lexington, Ky. to compete in the two day Jim Green Invitational. Weight throw and high jump with kick off the meet at 4 p.m. EST on Friday, Jan. 11.
