BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana unveiled the team's Bicentennial uniforms for the Bicentennial Homecoming game against Rutgers this Saturday, Oct. 12, at noon EDT.
IU's uniforms are part of a new, limited-edition collection which includes seven schools and is highlighted by the "Selfless Pack", which underscores the efforts each university puts forward to leave a positive impact within their community.
The uniforms blend the past with the present, featuring designs that are new to the program while paying homage to Indiana's DNA.
The uniforms feature a candy-stripe graphic throughout and the jersey features a body-mapping design, using a ribbed knit pattern on the chest and shoulder pads to produce a refined fit.
As an additional nod to the 150th anniversary of college football, a custom "150" patch that outlines the shape of a football is prominently sewn on the right shoulder of each jersey.
The uniforms also use retro-inspired typography, which tie back to the same typography used on Indiana's 1968 Rose Bowl jerseys.
