COLLEGE PARK, Md.— 120 minutes of action on Thursday night wasn't enough as Indiana Women's Soccer (7-6-2, 3-3-2) played Maryland (7-6-3, 3-4-1) to 0-0 draw. The Hoosiers posted their eighth shutout of the season.

KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana fired off two quick shot to open the shooting for the Hoosiers. Avery Lockwood took the first shot but it was blocked before Madeline Carlson's shot was on target and saved by the Maryland goalkeeper.
• The Terrapins saw their best chance of the first half in the 26th minute. Junior goalkeeper Bethany Kopel came up with a remarkable save to keep the match scoreless.
• In the 50^th minute Chandra Davidson got the first opportunity for the Hoosiers of the second half but the long ball from Oliwia Wos went wide of the target.
• Melanie Forbes saw the best chance of the night in the 80^th minute as she received a cross in the box but the ball went wide left of the net.
• During the first overtime period, the Hoosiers earned three corners in a minute time frame. Alaina Kalin had a dangerous shot saved by the Terrapins keeper while Hanna Nemeth's chance went high of the net.
• Kopel saw a dangerous ball off a Maryland free kick but was able to track to shot down in the 104^th minute to preserve the scoreless contest.

NOTABLES
• Indiana is now 7-6-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the Big Ten Conference.
• The Hoosiers saw their second overtime game of the season. The last over time match came at Michigan where the two teams played to a 0-0 tie.
• Indiana posted its eighth shutout of the season and fifth in the Big Ten. Their five Big Ten shutouts are tied for most in program history.
• Bethany Kopel had four saves on the night. The junior now has 230 saves in her career which gives her sole possession of second all-time in program history.
• Avery Lockwood led the Hoosiers in attacking third with four shots. Indiana had six shots on goal compared to Maryland's four.

"Honestly we are all very disappointed with the performance today. I felt we never got close to our level from the last few weeks, especially in ball possession. Because we lost the ball so much it became too much of transition game. What we have done well recently did not show today. On the flip side I'm very happy with our defensive organization and the way we transitioned after losing the ball."
