BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosiers will head west to Lincoln, Neb., to face Nebraska on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 3:30 p.m. EDT. The game will be televised on BTN.
Each week, we compile quotes and storylines from the past week and preview the upcoming one.
Head Coach Tom Allen
"Just had a good morning with our team and really proud of the way they performed on Saturday. I thought it was just a great way to finish, to find a way to win an important road game in conference play. Any time you go on the road it's just difficult. So we didn't play our best, but I thought we did a lot of good things, a lot of things to build off of for sure. But just the ability to finish, to have our defense on the field. As I said earlier, to be able to be the reason why the game closed the way it did, kind of being put back out there twice, but then challenged our offense about finishing. We get that first fumble that Burgess creates and get the ball in great position and you want to go in there and score a touchdown. Still defense had to come out and still had to finish. But bottom line is it was a complete team effort."
QB Peyton Ramsey
"I think it took a drive to kind of get settled in physically. Mentally, I was locked in. I knew that game plan pretty well as I do every week. Physically, it took me awhile. I missed that first throw there, but after that I felt good. Team was playing well so it was easy to be back out there."
WR Nick Westbrook
"We needed momentum going into that half because it would be huge for our defense to start off with that momentum and not feel like they're on their toes. Peyton threw a great ball. I probably could've run a little bit faster on my route and made it a little bit easier on myself but was able to come down with it, you know focus on it. It was huge for momentum like I said. The defense was able to come out with confidence knowing we were up and not worry about giving up a big play or anything."
DB Marcelino Ball
"We just went out there. We knew what we had to do. We had to stop them from getting a touchdown or exceeding. We did what we had to do. We executed."
OL Harry Crider
"Huge confidence booster seeing Stevie (Scott III) run down the field like that, but we know any play that's capable of happening. We just got to stay the course and keep doing what we're supposed to do and those plays can open up anytime."
DB Reese Taylor
"Our confidence has got to stay high. It has to be at its peak because without it our defense could get broke without confidence. When we roll into Nebraska, we have to make sure our head is right, make sure that we come in, stay focused, have a great week of practice. This is the biggest game because it's just the next one. We have to make sure that we just lock in on everything we do and make sure all the details are right."
