TEAM
• Indiana improved to 6-2 and 3-2 in the Big Ten.
• IU is off to its best eight-game mark since 1993 (7-1) and is bowl eligible for the third time in five years.
• The Hoosiers have won three-straight conference games for the first time since a four-game winning streak in 1993.
• Indiana posted a 3-0 October record, its first perfect October since 1993 (4-0).
• IU has won back-to-back league road contests for the first time since 2015 (Maryland on Nov. 21, 2015 and Purdue on Nov. 28, 2015).
• The Hoosiers hold a 10-8-3 advantage in the Nebraska series with an 8-5-2 edge in Lincoln.
• Today marked Indiana's first victory over the Cornhuskers since a 23-7 road triumph on Oct. 17, 1959.
• IU claimed its first win over a Big Ten West opponent since Nov. 11, 2017 (at Illinois, 24-14).
• Senior left tackle Coy Cronk (injured), fifth-year senior linebacker Reakwon Jones, fifth-year senior right guard Simon Stepaniak and fifth-year wide receiver Nick Westbrook served as game captains. The four are the team's season captains.
• Indiana won the coin toss for the second time season and elected to defer for the second time. IU is 1-0 when winning the coin toss.
OFFENSE
• Indiana reached 30 points for the seventh time in its first eight games, a program record, and for the fifth time in as many games, its longest streak since the final four games of 2015 and the first two games of 2016.
• The Hoosiers passed for 351 yards, their fourth game with 300-plus yards in 2019.
• IU scored (FG) on its opening offensive possession for the third-straight game and the fifth time (3 TDs) in eight games.
• Redshirt junior Peyton Ramsey finished the afternoon 27-for-40 (67.5 percent) for a career-high 351 yards, his fourth 300-yard game, with two passing touchdowns (37 career, 8 in 2019) and one rushing TD (8 career, 1 in 2019). It is his 12th career multi-passing score game, and the seventh game of his career with a passing and a rushing touchdown.
• The Cincinnati native added 42 rushing yards for a career-high 393 total yards.
• Ramsey moved into fourth in career completions (535), fifth in passing touchdowns (37) and 300-yard games (4), seventh in total offense (6,022) and eighth in passing yardage (5,321) on the school's career charts. He also sits first in completion percentage (67.0) and sixth in attempts (799).
• Junior Whop Philyor collected his third 10-reception game (IU single-season record) and third 100-yard game of the season (T-8th IU single-season list) with 14 for 178.
• Philyor owns five-career games with 10-or-more catches, which extended his Indiana record, and has reached the century mark five times, which shares 12th in program history.
• The Tampa native became the 28th Hoosier to record 100 receptions and is the 27th with 100 catches (113) and 1,000 yards (1,307).
• Junior Ty Fryfogle hauled in his second touchdown of 2019 and the fifth of his career in the second quarter. He made four receptions for a career-high 75 yards.
• True freshman David Ellis collected his first-career touchdown on a 1-yard rush in the third quarter.
• Sophomore tight end Matt Bjorson brought in his first-career TD from 2 yards out to close out the third quarter.
• Redshirt sophomore Peyton Hendershot moved into seventh on the school's single-season yardage list for tight ends (391) with his 40-yard reception.
• Sophomore running back Stevie Scott III scored from eight yards out in the fourth quarter, his seventh score of the season and the 17th of his career. Scott has registered a rushing TD in 10 of the last 13 games and has totaled 13 scores in those 13 games.
• The Syracuse, N.Y., native posted a career-high 41 receiving yards on four catches. Scott added 68 yards on the ground.
DEFENSE
• Sophomore husky Jamar Johnson recorded his third sack of the season and of his career in the second quarter, and stripped Nebraska quarterback Noah Vedral for his first-career forced fumble.
• Senior defensive end Allen Stallings IV recovered, the first of his career, and returned it 68 yards to set up an IU touchdown on the next play.
• The 68-yard return is the Hoosiers longest since cornerback Tracy Porter scored on a 76-yard return at Michigan State on Oct. 13, 2007.
• Redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Alfred Bryant forced his second-career fumble and redshirt sophomore Juwan Burgess made his third-career recovery and second in as many weeks in the fourth quarter.
• Indiana has a takeaway in 24 of its last 26 games and has eight takeaways in 2019 with five fumble recoveries and three interceptions. IU has two multi-takeaway games in 2019, in back-to-back weeks.
• The Hoosiers scored 31 points off of the eight takeaways.
• Sophomore linebacker Micah McFadden recorded career-highs with 11 tackles and 10 solo stops.
• Senior safety Khalil Bryant also notched a career-high with 10 tackles.
• Redshirt junior defensive tackle Jerome Johnson made the 15th start of his career.
SPECIAL TEAMS
• Indiana's career field goal percentage leader Logan Justus opened the scoring with a 22-yarder to improve to 10-for-10 on the season. The McCordsville, Ind., native's 10-straight field goals share fourth in program history.
• Justus is now 25-of-28 on field goals (89.1 percent) and 62-of-64 on PATs (96.9 percent). His 25 career field goals are good for ninth in program history and his 62 PATs are 10th on the program's career list.
• Fifth-year senior Haydon Whitehead punted three times and dropped all three inside the 10-yard line (8, 7, 3). Whitehead has landed three inside the 5-yard line and 11 inside the 10-yard line on the season.
