Hoosiers Fall at No. 16 Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team came back from down 15-6 in the third set to close within two at 22-20, but ultimately fell in three sets (16-25, 12-25, 20-25) at No. 16 Purdue on Wednesday.

- With Purdue leading 16-10 in the first set, the Boilermakers used a 4-0 run to increase that lead to 20-10.
- After a Purdue ace to put them up 23-13, Indiana responded with a 3-0 run with a Breana Edwards kill, Deyshia Lofton and Edwards block and an ace from Bayli Lebo.
- The Hoosiers scored three of the first four points to start the second set. Indiana led 5-3, but Purdue went on an 4-0 run to take a 7-5 lead.
- Trailing 10-7 in the second set, Indiana scored three straight points and tied it, 10-10.
- Purdue used a 6-1 run to go up 16-11 and won the second set, 25-12.
- Purdue scored six straight points in the third set to go up 12-3.

- The Hoosiers fell to 12-12 overall and 1-10 in Big Ten play. Purdue improved 15-5 overall and 7-4 in Big Ten play.
- Breana Edwards led the Hoosiers with 12 kills, her 15th match of the season with double-digit kills.
- Bayli Lebo had six digs in the first set and finished the match with a team-high 13 digs.
- Deyshia Lofton recorded two blocks and is now one block from moving into seventh on the Hoosiers all-time list for career blocks. She currently has 405 career blocks.
- Hayden Huybers tallied nine kills and hit .350 for the match. Jacqui Armer connected on four of five swings to hit .800 for the match.
