Men’s Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The 2018-19 Indiana University men's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, the organization announced.
The Hoosiers earned the distinction for the fourth time in the last five years and for the eighth time in program history. Indiana has received the award in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
A total of 989 college teams (345 men, 644 women) earned the Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2018-19 academic year. Indiana was among 255 schools receiving honors for both their men and women's teams.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point of average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
The No. 8-ranked Indiana Hoosiers host No. 19 Kentucky at 7:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 9 at Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium. The match with the Wildcats is scheduled to be televised on FS1.
