BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana men's soccer freshman Aidan Morris picked up his second honor of the day when the Big Ten Conference announced him as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Morris kicked off the week with his first collegiate goal in a 3-1 Hoosier win against the Wildcats. His tally came in the 66th minute of the contest on a one-timer from eight-yards away from goal.
His encore performance against Penn State produced a pair of assists. His first assist of the match came in the 16th minute off a free kick. He delivered a tremendous cross into the box that found junior A.J. Palazzolo, who beat the keeper with a sharp header. Eight minutes later, Morris added another assist off a set piece, this time he found junior Spencer Glass. Glass finished the goal with a strike from 16-yards out.
The No. 4-ranked Hoosiers will be in action at 7 p.m. ET on Oct. 9 at Armstrong Stadium against No. 16-ranked Kentucky. The game will be televised on FS1.
