Lockwood Earns Top Drawer Soccer Weekly Honors

CULVER CITY, Calif.— Top Drawer Soccer announced their team of the week on Tuesday morning. Freshman midfielder Avery Lockwood earned a spot on the team for the first time in her career. This is also the first weekly honor for the freshman.
Last Thursday Lockwood earned the game winner at Illinois in the 80th minute of action to give the Hoosiers a 1-0 advantage. She also took three other shots during the match on Thursday night.
On Sunday, Lockwood aided in the shutout against Minnesota while recording a shot that as on target but saved by the Minnesota goalkeeper. This is the third consecutive match where the Hoosiers have shutout their Big ten opponent.
The Hoosiers remain home this weekend as they host Penn State on Thursday Oct. 10 at 6p and Ohio State on Sunday Oct. 13 at 12p. Their contest against the Buckeyes will serve as the annual Pink Game.
