IUWS Welcomes 2020 Signing Class

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Indiana Women's Soccer announced their 2020 signing class on Wednesday afternoon. The Hoosiers will add four to their 2020 roster. Anna Bennett (Holland, Mich.), Sofia Black (Alpharetta, Ga.), Jen Blitchok (Grandville, Mich.), and Zoe Tiger (Wantage, N.J.) have all signed their National Letters of Intent to play for the Hoosiers next fall.
Anna Bennett, Sofia Black, and Jen Blitchok will graduate from high school in December and join Indiana at the start of the spring semester.
Anna Aehling | Defender | Coesfeld, Germany/FSV Gütersloh 2009

A defender from Coesfeld, Germany, Aehling will join the Hoosiers after graduating from Gesamtschule Kamen. Aehling currently plays for FSV Gütersloh 2009 in the Second Bundesliga, and the German Under 19 National Team. Anna has competed in the U17 UEFA European Championship, U17 FIFA World Cup and U19 UEFA European Championship.
Anna Bennett | Forward | Holland, Mich./Midwest United FC

Bennett comes to Indiana after playing with her club team, Midwest United FC, for the past three years. She tallied 13 goals and 18 assists for the 2018-19 season and was chosen by Top Drawer Soccer as a Girls Development Academy weekly standout on September 21st, 2019. In 2017, Bennett was a member of the Michigan Olympic Development Program team and attended the Region II camp.
Sofia Black | Midfield | Alpharetta, Ga./Cambridge High School/Tophat
Black will join the Hoosiers after graduating from Cambridge High School in December. She attended the U18 and U19 Sweden National Team Camp in 2019. With her club team, Tophat, Black competed in the Development Academy quarterfinals after winning the Southeast Conference title. The team also ranked fourth in the nation at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season.
Jen Blitchok | Forward | Grandville, Mich./Grandville/Midwest United FC
Blitchok will come to Indiana from her club team, Midwest United FC. She tallied 13 goals in the 2018-19 season to lead the team to a U18/U19 U.S. Soccer DA Championship. In 2017, the team was a US Youth Soccer national finalist and Blitchok was named to the Best XI team at the national tournament. Blitchok and the rest of the team were crowned regional champs twice while also garnering National League Champion honors in 2016. Additionally, Blitchok was part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship team in 2016. The Grandville, Mich. native played one season on her high school team and earned All-Conference and All-State accolades.
Zoe Tiger | Defender | Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional/STA Development Academy

Tiger will arrive at Indiana after graduating from High Point Regional High School. A two-sport athlete in soccer and track, Tiger holds school records in the 200m, 400m, and 4x100 relay. Tiger helped club team, STA DA, garner National Semi-Finalist honors in 2017.
