Wrestling Adds Four for 2020 Signing Class

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– IU head coach Angel Escobedo has announced the addition of four signees for the 2020 class.

Jacob Moran, Derek Gilcher, Nico Bolivar and Santos Cantu will be joining the Hoosiers in the 2020 class.

"My staff and I are very excited to announce this 2020 recruiting class," IU head coach Angel Escobedo said. "These young men embody the culture and standard we are building here in Bloomington; hard working young men who want to be the best version of themselves on and off the mat."

Jacob Moran | Portage, Ind. | Portage High School

• Spending this year training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado
• 2018 State Champion, Junior Freestyle Fourth Place, NHCSA Junior Nationals Champion

"Not only is Jacob an outstanding wrestler that will make his mark at 125, but he carries over a 4.2 GPA. "It is very hard to find guys that will be able to wrestle 125 lbs for all for years, but we found that in Jacob. Jacob is a state champion from Portage, Indiana. A mentally tough, very skilled, and highly competitive kid, Jacob will raise the intensity in our room."
