"Obviously it was a pretty intense match. Congrats to Maryland, I thought they played great. They fought, they battled, they found a way to win close games. So, full credit to them. I thought Breana was phenomenal tonight for us. She's a kid with a really bright future; I thought she did some great things. For me, we've got to find a way to win the match in three. I thought we had momentum, I thought we were up 7-2 in the third game.
In the process of building and doing what we're trying to do there's a lot of heartbreak and a lot of really tough losses. I think I've told my staff before, you go from getting totally blown out in matches, kind of on the rebuild, to heartbreaking losses. Then you break through and you start winning some of the close games, and then you get to the point where you can start to handle teams as the program develops. Disappointing; full credit to Maryland, I thought they were fantastic and battled. Proud of the fact we had some kids show up and compete first whistle to last whistle."
