BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosiers will host the No. 13 Michigan Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Each week, we compile quotes and storylines from the past week and preview the upcoming one.
Head Coach Tom Allen
"So that gives us a chance to talk about our opponent (Saturday), which is the Michigan Wolverines. And really a lot of respect for them and their coaches and the talent that they have and how they have recruited and they are who they are historically. But they just, they're playing their best football, watching them on film the last couple days. And really impressive football team, physically and athletically, and just doing a lot of great things in all three phases, they have got talented specialists."
QB Peyton Ramsey
"That's exactly what it is, another opportunity. And it's our next game, just another opportunity to go out, especially for these seniors, Senior Day, the last time that they are going to play on that field. (Beating a Top-25 team) is one of our season goals ahead of us, but it's also just another chance to go play, to go compete and show what we're capable of doing."
WR Ty Fryfogle
"I feel like we did a great job moving the ball, we had a lot of really big drives. We just had a couple of mistakes here and there that caused the turnout. We'll figure that out this week and get better and limit those mistakes because we have another great team coming in this week."
DL James Head Jr.
"We had our chances. It's just knowing the mistakes we made were beating ourselves, and Penn State is a good team, they capitalized on our mistakes and knowing that if we fix those mistakes, we can hang in with anybody."
OL Simon Stepaniak
"It's everything. It's the final game of my career in this stadium and it's kind of a humbling experience, especially against a Big Ten team like Michigan. I love getting after these guys and they love getting after us, so it's always a great game. Just trying to give it all I have. We have a lot of seniors on this team that have given a lot to this program and it's going to mean a lot to see however this game is going to turnout, but we're going to attack it with everything we have."
LB Micah McFadden
"This team is young, but we definitely have an urgency and want to win these types of games for the seniors. Saturday is a great opportunity and we're going to get after them."
P Haydon Whitehead
"I feel like we definitely have the ability to go in and win this game, especially with the way we've been playing this season. Like you said, it would be a really big win at home for our seniors on Senior Day, so that's definitely the goal. We know if we just execute what we've been taught, we'll definitely have a shot."
