Water Polo Announces Signing Class

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Water Polo head coach Taylor Dodson has announced the signing of five student-athletes during the recent fall National Letter of Intent signing period.
Kallie White, Paige Donald, Lexi Marissink, Kiki Mein and Ashlynn Sauerwein all signed their NLI's and will be on campus for the 2021 season.
Dodson looks forward to having the newcomers on campus and being able to work with them over the next four years.
"I am thrilled to announce our 2020 signing class with addition of five excellent student athletes. Kallie, Paige, Lexi, Kiki and Ashlynn all bring previous athletic and academic successes which will immediately impact our growing program," head coach Taylor Dodson said. "More importantly, they will do it with upstanding character and enthusiasm. Each of them is accomplished but still driven to take our program to new heights. They believe in what we are doing here in Bloomington; I cannot wait to get them to campus with our current team. Each athlete truly enjoys being challenged, while also putting everything they have into a team. They fit our training-first and team-first culture perfectly, it will be a fun four years growing with them."
Kallie White | Defender | Carlsbad High School | Seaside Water Polo
Led high school team as a junior with 40 goals, 27 assists and 25 steals… Was a player for the Youth National Team at the National Team Selection Camp… Selected to USA Water Polo's Futures International trip to Budapest in 2019.

Paige Donald | Attacker/Utility | Martin Academy | Saskatchewan Water Polo
Was a member of the Canadian National Team long lists from 2017-19 for the Youth Pan American Games, Youth Worlds and Women Worlds… Earned a gold medal at Nationals for the 2018 season and a gold for the 2018 season at Westerns, both on 19U teams… Member of the 16U and 19U All-Star Teams at Westerns in 2017 and 2019.
Donald Quote: "I chose IU because there seemed to be great team chemistry and they felt like a family. The coaches and players made me feel extremely comfortable. I think the atmosphere at IU will help me reach my full potential."

Lexi Marissink | Attacker/Utility | Arch Bishop Jordan Catholic High School | Edmonton Tsunami
Was a starter for the Canadian National Team that earned a silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Trinidad… Named a Western Conference All-Star in both 2017 and 2018 for the National Canadian League… Was named Edmonton WPC's top offensive player in 2019. Earned a silver medal with Edmonton WPC at the 19U National Championships and at 19U Western Championships in 2019.

Played varsity water polo four four years… Named a team captain in 2018 and 2019… NCS Finalist in both 2017 and 2019. Named to All NCS First-Team in 2017 and 2019… Earned the NCS Academic Presidential Award in 2019… Named a USA Water Polo Academic All-American… Member of the East Bay Athletic League All Team for three years.

Was a four-year varsity player… Named a team captain in 2019… Named the 2018 Clairemont High School Athlete of the Year… Named three times to the San Diego All-Academic Team.
