In the spirit of giving back, the Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers Team 24 participated in the IU Dance Marathon this past weekend. Team 24 is a student-athlete group dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis through the Indiana University Dance Marathon. Josie Grote, a junior women's swimmer, led this year's team, consisting of 16 student-athletes. Altogether, they raised over $11,300, bringing the team's 3-year total to over $36,000 for Riley Hospital.
While at the marathon, Team 24 hosted a Riley kid for the second year. The Riley Kid was greeted with a Team 24 basket and spent time at the marathon with the student-athletes. All student-athletes were invited to visit the IU Dance Marathon for the annual Riley Kids Talent Show and to meet the Team 24 Riley Kid.
