GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore guard Grace Berger had a game-high 23 points on 10-for-15 shooting while senior forward Brenna Wise had a season-high 16 points as No. 18 Indiana debuted its road schedule with a win over the Florida Gators, 73-49, on Friday night at Exactech Arena at Stephen C. On the win at Florida:
"It was a nice win for us and Grace Berger was really good inside the 2-3 zone that Florida was playing most of the game. They had a change in their lineup because of an injury so they went bigger which we didn't expect so a lot of credit to our team for being able to adapt."
On Brenna Wise's play:
"It's nice to see that Brenna is overcoming her early struggle, we're used to see a lot of her shot go down, I thought she great from beyond the arch. She took what the defense gave her and she wasn't pressing. Sometimes when a shooter like that misses shots, they press a little but Brenna hasn't been pressing she's been allowing the game come to her."
On this game preparing for the Paradise Jam
"As I said to the team, it's a great SEC opponent, great post players that we were matched up against tonight. With the guards and the athleticism that you see in that league, I think it was a great road test for us but I also think it was really for the younger class to have a better understanding what playing at a high level looks like."

KEY MOMENTS
- In a tight first quarter, the game was tied at 15-all after the first 10 minutes thanks to a 3-pointer from redshirt freshman guard Chanel Wilson.
- An 11-3 run to start the second quarter really helped the Hoosiers (4-0) separate themselves as the Gators (4-1) couldn't contain Berger at any point in the game as her drive made it 26-18 to force a timeout.
- At the break, Berger had scored 12 of her points in the opening half behind a 48.4 percent clip for the Hoosiers. They extended their lead to as many as 13 in the second quarter, on a Berger conventional 3-point play with 4:20 to play.
- Indiana would take a 39-28 lead at intermission. In the third, Florida came within as many as nine but a 6-0 run midway through the third quarter pushed the margin back up to 15 for IU on back-to-back buckets from Berger and Holmes. It would be IU by 18 after three complete, 58-40.
- A 57.1 percent clip from the field in the fourth quarter with nine of Berger's points coming in the final frame helped IU complete the road victory.
