TEAM
• Indiana sits at 7-4 and 4-4 in the Big Ten play. IU finished with a 4-2 record at Memorial Stadium.
• Senior left tackle Coy Cronk (injured), fifth-year senior linebacker Reakwon Jones, redshirt junior quarterback Peyton Ramsey, fifth-year senior right guard Simon Stepaniak and fifth-year wide receiver Nick Westbrook served as game captains. The five are the team's season captains.
• Former Hoosiers Doug Crusan (OL/DL, 1965-67), Joe Huff (LB, 1984-88) and Ted Smith (TB, 1957-59) served as honorary game captains.
• Indiana recognized 16 seniors on Senior Day: WR Justin Berry, CB Andre Brown Jr., S Khalil Bryant, OL Coy Cronk, DE Gavin Everett, WR Donavan Hale, LB Reakwon Jones, K Logan Justus, C Hunter Littlejohn, OL DaVondre Love, CB A-Shon Riggins, K Jared Smolar, DE Allen Stallings IV, OL Simon Stepaniak, RB Connor Thomas and WR Nick Westbrook.
• Michigan won the coin toss and elected to defer. Indiana is 4-2 when receiving the ball first.
OFFENSE
• IU scored (TD) on its opening offensive possession for the sixth-straight game and the eighth time (five TDs) in 11 games (44 points).
• The game-opening scoring drive covered 10 plays, 75 yards, and 4:53 of game time. The drive marked the 17th scoring drive of the season for the Hoosiers of at least 10 plays.
• Redshirt junior quarterback Peyton Ramsey finished the game completing 17-of-29 for 217 yards and one interception. He added a second-quarter touchdown rush, his fourth of the season and of the 11th of his career.
• Ramsey became the sixth QB in program history to surpass the 6,000-yard mark. He now has 6,017 and became the first to do eclipse 6,000 since Nate Sudfeld (2012-15).
• Redshirt sophomore tight end Peyton Hendershot had six receptions for 62 yards. He now has 42 catches, which ranks third on IU's single-season list for tight ends and 506 yards, which also ranks third.
• Sophomore running back Stevie Scott III compiled 54 yards rushing on 13 carries and one score. His first-quarter rushing touchdown marked his 10th of the season and 20th of his career. He ranks tied for eighth (Trent Green) in school history in career rushing scores.
• Fifth-year senior wide receiver Nick Westbrook secured two catches for 49 yards. His career reception total (135) ranks tied for 10th in program history, while his career yardage (2,090) ranks eighth all-time. He surpassed current New York Giants wide receiver Cody Latimer to move into eighth.
• True freshman wide receiver David Ellis has hauled in 10 receptions for 121 yards in the last two weeks against ranked opponents after bringing in three catches for 36 yards against the Wolverines.
• True freshman running back Sampson James rushed the ball nine times for 28 yards, all in the second half. Both figures are the second-most for James this season.
• Fifth-year senior right guard Simon Stepaniak made the 30th start of his career.
DEFENSE
• With sophomore linebacker Micah McFadden's fourth-quarter interception, Indiana has a takeaway in 27 of its last 29 games.
• IU has 13 takeaways this season with nine fumble recoveries and four interceptions.
• The Hoosiers have scored 45 points off of the 13 takeaways.
• Senior safety Khalil Bryant made the 15th start of his career and secured a game-high 10 tackles, including a career-high-tying seven solo. Bryant has tallied three double-figure games in his last four outings. He has three in his career and has now amassed 101 total tackles.
• McFadden totaled six solos, one for loss, to go along with and his first-career INT.
• Redshirt junior defensive tackle Jerome Johnson made the 20th start of his career. He secured his third sack of the season in the first quarter. He now has 7.5 sacks in his career.
• Redshirt junior husky Marcelino Ball notched three total tackles and one sack, his second sack of the season. He has accumulated 4.5 sacks for his career.
SPECIAL TEAMS
• Fifth-year senior kicker Logan Justus hit both of his extra point attempts and is now 71-of-73 on PATs (97.3 percent) during his career. Justus moved into sixth on the Indiana all-time list for made PATs in a season with 39 and sits eighth on the program's career extra points list.
• Fifth-year senior punter Haydon Whitehead boomed two 50-yard punts in the first half to match his career-high for 50-yarders in a single game. Whitehead punted five times for 235 yards, an average of 47.0 per punt. He knocked one punt inside the 20.
