Postgame Notes
- Indiana is 6-0 for the first time since the 2012-13 season (9-0) after defeating the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs by a score of 88-75 on Monday night.
- IU is 3-0 all-time against the Bulldogs having defeated Louisiana Tech by a score of 84-63 in 1995 and 73-44 in 1996. Both games were in Assembly Hall.
- The game marked the third of the Indiana Challenge.
- Louisiana Tech entered the game with the 10th-highest turnover rate in the country (13.8 percent). The Hoosiers forced 20 turnovers and outscored the Bulldogs, 20-16, off turnovers.
- The 52-first half points scored by Indiana marked the second most points scored by the Hoosiers in the opening half. IU tallied a season-best 58 points against Troy on Nov. 17.
- Three-straight coast-to-coast layups gave the Hoosiers their first six points of the game and a 6-2 lead. The last layup by junior guard Aljami Durham resulted in an and-one opportunity and a timeout by Louisiana Tech.
- After allowing a bucket on the opening possession of the game, Indiana rattled off a 14-2 lead to seize control of the game. The Hoosiers never trailed again.
- A layup by Durham at the 7:29 mark in the first half gave the Hoosiers their largest lead of the game at 23 points.
- The Hoosiers went 28-of-38 (73.7 percent) from the free throw line. Indiana has shot above 70.0 percent from the free throw line in five of its six games this season.
- Four Hoosiers reached double figures in the scoring column, led by a career-best 21 points from freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis. Durham secured 18 points, senior guard Devonte Green tallied 16 points, and redshirt junior forward Joey Brunk scored 12 points.
- Jackson-Davis scored 20-plus points for the second time and grabbed double-figure rebounds (11) for the third time this season. The game marked his third double-double of the season after he secured 13 points and 10 rebounds against Portland State and 17 points and 14 boards against Troy.
- The Greenwood, Ind., native also knocked down 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) of his free throws, the second time this season he made at least 10 free throws. Jackson-Davis finished 5-of-9 from the floor.
- Green tallied 16 points on 3-of-5 shooting from behind the 3-point line in 27 minutes for the Hoosiers. He also grabbed two rebounds.
- Durham had 18 points in 31 minutes and added a team-high four assists and four rebounds.
- Brunk scored 12 points and nearly finished as the second Hoosier with a double-double with eight rebounds. He also dished out four assists.
- Junior forward Justin Smith scored three points and added three rebounds and a team-high three steals in 33 minutes.
- Redshirt sophomore forward Race Thompson made his first career 3-pointer and finished the game with six points and two rebounds.
- Freshman guard Armaan Franklin played 23 minutes and finished with four points, three rebounds, and two assists.
- Redshirt freshman forward Jerome Hunter scored three points for the Hoosiers and grabbed two rebounds.
- Sophomore forward Damezi Anderson scored five points and grabbed a rebound in seven minutes. He has scored 33 points this season, which equals his season total from his freshman year.
- Senior forward De'Ron Davis recorded four minutes of playing time for the Hoosiers.
- The Hoosiers will be back in action for the fourth and final game of the Indiana Challenge at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 against South Dakota State.
