BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – To give Hoosier fans the most up-to-date information as they plan for IU Football's bowl game possibilities, Indiana University Athletics is excited to launch the official "IU Football Bowl Central" website.
Hoosier fans can visit IU FOOTBALL BOWL CENTRAL to familiarize themselves with IU's possible bowl game destinations. Fans will also find regularly-updated information about important dates and deadlines, fan events, travel information and more as Coach Tom Allen's team closes in on the program's first bowl trip in three years.
Indiana's official bowl announcement will be made on Sunday, Dec. 8.
"We are very happy for our team, coaches, fans and all IU alumni to have secured a bowl game invitation so early in what continues to be a thrilling season for Coach Allen's team," said IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass. "Wherever we wind up, I know it will be an exciting matchup, a wonderful environment and a special opportunity for our fans to experience."
This year's bowl trip will be IU's third in the last five years, and it comes on the 40th anniversary of IU Football's first-ever bowl game victory (38-37 vs. BYU in the Holiday Bowl in 1979).
