Postgame Notes
- The Hoosiers improved to 11-1 on the season and 6-3 in the Crossroads Classic with a 62-60 win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday. The win marks the third straight in the Classic for IU and the third-straight win in the Classic over Notre Dame.
- Head coach Archie Miller is 3-0 in the Crossroads Classic during his time at IU.
- Indiana scored the game's first field goal on a redshirt junior forward Joey Brunk layup with 17:40 remaining in the first half and the Hoosiers scored the last field goal of the game to win on a freshman guard Armaan Franklin 3-pointer with 15.7 seconds remaining.
- Franklin checked in at the 7:53 mark in the first half with the Hoosiers up by one and Franklin scored six-straight points to put the Hoosiers up 23-16 with six minutes remaining in the half. Franklin also scored six of the final eight points for IU in the game.
- After John Mooney gave Notre Dame its biggest lead at 59-54 with two free throws with 3:42 left, the teams exchanged turnovers. Franklin hit a three-pointer to cut the lead to 59-57 with 2:49 to go. IU forced another Irish turnover but Jackson-Davis missed an inside shot. The Hoosiers drew an offensive foul and a turnover with 1:38 to go and Jackson-Davis tied the game with a minute left on a dunk.
- Prentiss Hubb made 1-of-2 free throws with 35 seconds left for the Irish. With 15 seconds left, junior guard Aljami Durham hit Franklin in the corner who buried the game winner for IU.
- With four seconds left, Jackson-Davis blocked Mooney's game tying attempt as IU took possession. Junior forward Justin Smith missed a free throw with three seconds left and Rex Pflueger's desperation half-court shot missed to end the game.
- Indiana outrebounded the Fighting Irish 42-32 and are now 11-0 when outrebounding its opponents. IU grabbed 15 of those on the offensive side and converted them into 15 points.
- The Hoosiers' largest lead came three times early in the second half at 17 on a Durham free throw (16:35), a senior guard Devonte Green layup (15:54) and a Jackson-Davis layup (15:18).
- Three Hoosiers scored in double figures on Saturday, Franklin (17), Jackson-Davis (14) and Green (11).
- Franklin scored a career-high 17 points on 4-of-5 shooting from behind the arc and also dished out the assist on the game-tying basket by Jackson-Davis with 1:00 remaining.
- Jackson-Davis added 14 points for the Hoosiers on 7-of-9 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds, while recording a pair of blocks and steals.
- Green scored 11 points for the Hoosiers and dished out two assists in 29 minutes of action.
- Brunk nearly had a double-double finishing with nine points and a career-high 14 rebounds. He also dished out four assists in 31 minutes.
- Durham tallied five points for Indiana and dished out a team-high four assists.
- Smith scored four points for Indiana and grabbed six rebounds, while adding a block and a steal.
- Redshirt freshman Jerome Hunter scored two points for IU and grabbed a rebound in 10 minutes.
- Sophomore guard Rob Phinisee grabbed two rebounds and added two assists for the Hoosiers.
- Redshirt sophomore Race Thompson grabbed three rebounds and dished out an assist.
- Sophomore forward Damezi Anderson recorded four minutes of playing time.
- Senior forward De'Ron Davis saw one minute of action.
- The Hoosiers will come back after Christmas to host Arkansas at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
