Postgame Notes
- Indiana played its last non-conference game of the season when it hosted the Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday and the Hoosiers fell to 11-2 with a 71-64 defeat.
- The Razorbacks lead the all-time series 3-2. This is the third time in two seasons that the Hoosiers have played Arkansas (Nov. 18, 2018 and March 23, 2019).
- The Hoosiers went on a 7-0 run in the first half to give them a 29-22 lead at the 5:41 mark capped off by two sophomore guard Rob Phinisee free throws.
- Phinisee hit Indiana's second 3-pointer of the game with 25 seconds left in the first half to send the Hoosiers into halftime with a 38-33 lead.
- Freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 11 of the Hoosiers' first 22 points in the game on 5-of-6 shooting. Jackson-Davis scored 16 points total in the first half on 6-of-8 shooting.
- Senior guard Devonte Green started the second half by scoring eight of the first 10 points for the Hoosiers as Indiana opened the half on a 12-6 run to take a 50-39 lead on two junior forward Justin Smith free throws at the 16:04 mark. This was Indiana's largest lead of the game.
- After the Razorbacks clawed their way back to trail only 54-52, the Hoosiers mounted a 7-0 run capped off by a redshirt junior forward Joey Brunk layup with 8:08 remaining to take a 61-52 lead.
- Arkansas finished the game on a 19-3 run over the last 8:08 and sealed the game by making all four of their free throws with under 30 seconds remaining.
- The Hoosiers assisted on eight of their first 10 made baskets and they outscored Arkansas in the paint, 34-20.
- Two Hoosiers scored in double figures on Sunday, Jackson-Davis (20) and Green (14).
- Jackson-Davis scored at least 20 points for the fourth time this season with 20 and grabbed six rebound and added two blocks in 34 minutes.
- Green scored 14 points or Indiana, including 11 in the second half. He hit a team-high four 3-point field goals and dished out a team-high three assists.
- Brunk scored eight points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for the Hoosiers in 27 minutes of playing time.
- Smith tallied six points for the Hoosiers and grabbed eight rebounds in 25 minutes.
- Phinisee recorded five points, grabbed two rebounds and dished out an assist in 23 minutes.
- Freshman guard Armaan Franklin scored five points for Indiana and grabbed two rebounds. He also dished out an assist and recorded a steal.
- Redshirt sophomore Race Thompson scored four points and grabbed three rebounds in 12 minutes for Indiana.
- Junior guard Aljami Durham tallied two points for Indiana and dished out two assists.
- Sophomore forward Damezi Anderson grabbed five rebounds and recorded one assist, steal and block each.
- Senior forward De'Ron Davis dished out an assist in two minutes of playing time.
- The Hoosiers will be back in action at Noon on Saturday, Jan. 4 when they travel to Maryland for their third Big Ten game of the season.
